A prime choice of destination for all CAT aspirants vying for the prestigious seats of IIMs every year.

The vision of developing a strong entrepreneurial spirit among the students and also the society at large was seen in the year 1981 and took shape in the form of IIML. With a very modest footing the ideas were brought from the drawing table to the forefront.

The institution was established in 1984 with a guiding philosophy of creation of knowledge, influencing management practices and global integration. A second campus, focusing on executive programs, was set up in Noida. IIM Lucknow is the first IIM to start an additional campus in the country. The recent rankings and recognitions going IIML’s way:

  • A recent survey suggests IIML has the best infrastructure among all IIMs.

Rankings

IIM Lucknow has maintained itself among the top management institutes in the country. As per recent surveys and ranking studies, IIML is the 6th best management institute in the country.  Business India B-School ranking also certifies it to be a prestigious 6th position holder on an all India Level.

 

Placements

Many recruiters procure IIM, Lucknow to fill their managerial posts. With 528 offers (70 PPOs, 213 lateral and 245 fresh offers), for a batch of 366, it was one of the most successful placement season for the institute.

Admission Procedure

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow offers 2-year programmes in Agribusiness Management apart from the PGP course, which involve a detailed, stage-wise Admissions Process. For admission to Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP):

a)      The first step is to appear for the Common Admission Test (CAT) held every year. It is a computer-based (online) exam conducted by the IIM’s in order to select students for their programmes.

b)      The admission process at IIM L is more of a calculation based process. The list of eligible candidates is generated based on weighted score of performance in CAT, past academic performance, and prior work experience. The shortlisted candidates are called for a Personal Interview (PI) round.

c)      During the PI stage, the candidates are subjected to a Written Ability Test (WAT), carrying a significant weight.

d)     The candidates scoring high on the weighted total score are ranked according to their merit and are given the admission offer to join IIM Lucknow.
