1. Highlight your interview
You are not the only one who is considered for the position. You’re vying for a position that everyone else wants. If you go with the flow, you’ll just hope that they will call you back. But if you wanted to remind the interviewer about your job interview, better make a letter and fast. A simple note would suffice to trigger their memory about you.
2. Clear-up information
Interviews doesn’t last all day and will never cover everything that you want to show to your prospective job employer. The letter that you’ll be sending will give you the chance to clear things up to your interviewer. Sometimes, there are disagreements that happened during the interview so instead of letting it go, you could change that as a plus point by sending a simple letter.
3. Provide additional information
Aside from clearing things up with your interviewer, this is also the chance to boost yourself ahead compared to other applicants. You could remind them of your qualifications or the experience that you have with the previous company. Again, this letter is not just a thank you letter but a booster for you to get ahead others.
4. Impress the client with your business practice
Thank you letters should be sent within 24 hours after the interview. It might be possible that the decision is not yet handed out. Sending the letter within 24 hours will tell your interviewer will send a signal that you know what you are doing and can quickly react to the things that have transpired during the interview.
5. Impress the client with your listening ability
You can’t write anything if you were not listening to the interviewer clearly on the day of the job interview. Be vivid as possible so that the client will know that you’re serious about the job. Although the letter should only be a single page, you should be able to provide a good summary of the interview which is certainly a plus point for you.
6. Shows you are aggressive
In today’s business setting, aggressiveness is seen as a good thing. When you know that everyone is after the job, you find an opportunity to get yourself ahead of others. You proactively present yourself to the employer which will do you good. Just be sure that you’re letter would come up as presenting yourself to your client without bad mouthing other candidates. When you know you have the skills, no need to go to extremes to get the job.
7. Common courtesy
Personally, every interview is chance of learning for job hunters. Even though we are not hired, the opportunity that was given to us by the clients is almost valuable. They too have spent a considerable amount of time to talk to you about the job you are interested in without any extra charge. During the interview, you’re most likely to learn something about the interviewers which will give you additional information about the company in case you are hired.
